I love Christmas and Christmas decorations, but I haven't enjoyed putting them up since I was a kid... until this year. Allen had been noticing the Christmas trees in stores and around the community, so when we got ours up, he was super excited. He ran around the house jumping, skrieking, and giggling - how could we not enjoy it? Also, we added a very special decoration to our Christmas collection this year; Gigi made Allen his own stocking that is absolutely beautiful! It is the little drummer boy, and she gave him the story book to go with it. The little boy on the stocking looks like Allen, and we pray that he grows up to try to please Jesus, just like him (and be musically talented.) :) We took Allen with Alyssa and Kayla to see Santa, but he wouldn't have anything to do with him. He didn't cry, but there was no way he was going to sit on his lap (even after Grandad did it.) He did have lots of fun riding the little train. Our Christmas officially kicked off with a dinner at ther Perritt's house, which was delightful for us and Allen. Asher's Nana started the spoiling of the kids with treats on that night, and we all had a great time. Also, as we put out our nativity scenes, Allen discovered baby Jesus. He was so sweet; he gave baby Jesus a blanket, put him on the tree and took his picture, gave him a bottle, and then, uh-oh! Allen put baby Jesus in time-out! He said the baby was crying too much. I tried to explain that baby Jesus is a special baby that doesn't ever have to go to time-out, Allen didn't buy it! I guess we have a lot to teach! :)
