Sat up by herself – today!
Juliana is very active right now. She can get all the way across a room very quickly even though
she’s not crawling. She loves to grab
things and put them in her mouth. Even
when I’m holding her, she’s rarely still.
She twists, turns, jumps, bounces, and reaches. She loves to be out and about and will not
go to sleep until we’re home in or in the car.
She loves to eat and hasn't refused any food yet. She eats a variety of fruits and veggies,
baby cereal, and first the first time today, black beans. She screams at me if I don’t feed her fast
enough and waits with a hugely opened mouth.
We love her more and more everyday and can’t get enough hugs and kisses
in. Allen is having more and more fun
playing with her and is always super sweet.
Juliana loves attention from big brother and Daddy. Usually at night, she starts out sleeping
in her crib in her own room and wakes up a couple of times. I try to get her back to sleep but often
resort to nursing or taking her to bed with me. Sleeping is definitely not our strength. But growing, eating, and being cute, are no problem! She also seems curious, smart, and social. A few weeks ago, I took her to the doctor for the first time for a sick visit. For two nights and days, she screamed when I laid her down. I thought she had an ear infection. She was perfectly healthy; I think, I might have been played by a 6 month old. She laid down and went to sleep without a fuss that night. Not to mention, she smiled and cooed at the doctors and nurses throughout the exam. She’s absolutely adorable! We can’t wait to celebrate her first Christmas!
