Diana & Jason's Wedding

We were blessed to share in Diana and Jason's wedding on June 25, 2011! We spent most evenings at Angela and Dirk's house that week to work on wedding preparations and also had a great time with family and got to know Jason's sweet family better. Angela (Jason's sister) and Dirk hosted the wedding in their backyard in Heath, Tx. Even without all the wedding decorations, their house and yard is beautiful. It created the perfect setting for an elegant, intimate, gorgeous wedding! Diana planned so many details that really made the wedding, and everyone pitched in to make the big day a success. Allen was a ringbearer and was supposed to walk down the aisle with Asher. He was an absolute doll at the rehearsal and did it perfectly - holding Asher's hand and everything, but the day of the wedding was all hustle and bustle until the ceremony and Allen didn't even want to let go of Mommy or Daddy, which poses a problem when Mommy is a matron of honor, Daddy is an usher, Aunt Nana is the bride, Aunt Jill is a matron of honor, Gigi and Grandad are on the front row and Alyssa and Kayla are junior bridesmaids. So, he didn't walk down the aisle, but he sure looked cute in his tux! We had lots of family in town, and it was so great to see everyone; I just wish there was more time to visit! I gave a toast that attempted to tell how wonderful Diana is and how glad we are that Jason is who he is and how great they are together. Dirk surprised everyone with an amazing fireworks show, and we orchestrated a dollar dance for Diana and Jason that gave them some one on one time dancing with family and friends and some extra cash for the honeymoon to San Antonio. Diana was absolutely stunning and everything went well! Jason was sweet as always, and they both enjoyed the special night. We are so happy to have Jason and Asher join the family and are especially thankful that they bought a house in Rowlett and will be close by for years to come! Best wishes for the newlyweds!
