3 year milestones

Now Allen is 3 years old!  He doesn't use a paci, sleeps in a big boy bed, and uses the potty!  He waited to use the potty until he was 3, and there was no convincing him otherwise.  Since his birthday, he has been very successful with the potty training.  He still attends Rachael's Superstar Preschool in-home preschool in Wylie and has lots of friends.  He knows his colors, shapes, letters, and numbers.  His favorite question is "why," which we hear, literally, hundreds of times a day, but he is so smart because of it!  He is so adorable, sweet, kind, smart, athletic, and fun!  Every minute with him is joyful!  We couldn't be more blessed! 

Baez Backyard Birthday Bash

This year we celebrated Allen's 3rd birthday and Christian's 30th birthday on October 13, 2012 in our backyard. We (mostly Christian) prepped for weeks and when it came time for the party, storms were in the forecast. God was kind to us, and we were able to have the entire party before the rain started. Whew! We were blessed by lots of friends and families. Both of our parents and all our brothers and sisters were there, not to mention, friends of ours and Allen's. Christian served delicious fajitas and fixins. Allen and his friends played on the swingset, trampoline, and the bounce house we rented. They hit a red racecar pinata and chose from the toys that poured out. After the pinata was tres leches cake, decorated with cars, and a special surprise announcement. (More to come on that later.) Great fun was had by all!

August and September

August and September flew by.  I started another new job and have been super busy.  For someone who likes consistency, I sure have had a lot of changes over the last few years.  Just in the 12 months, I was a grad student with an internship, then an assistant SLP at Florence, West Mesquite, and home health, then started in Wylie at Dodd, passed my certification exams,  graduated, then worked Mesquite Child Find this summer.  Now, I'm at Mark Twain in Richardson.  And that's just my professional life...
