Kisses!
Allen blew kisses to his Daddy tonight as I was carrying him down the hall to go to bed. Too cute!

15 months
Here are some pictures to document Allen at 15 months. They include: hanging out with the roomies (Cason & Braylon), exploring, not so sure about his spiky hair, in the big bath (which we have since abandoned for the more secure ducky bath), cuddling his blanky (he sweetly cuddles anything soft next to his face), playdate with Annabelle (Allen decided to feed her pretzels and she obliged), Kayla at her awards ceremony that Allen and I attended, finding crayons at the doctor's office (hanging out almost naked), trying to make me laugh by putting the bowl on his head, and spending time with Daddy and Nathan (Allen got Daddy a shirt to match his.)
At 15 months, Allen loves to put things where they belong (trash, laundry, dishes, etc.); I can only hope for this to last as long as possible. He is understanding so much! And, he tells us so much with expressions, gestures, signs, and some words. Allen loves to be around people, especially kids. He still loves music and dancing and is really interested in how things work and are put together. He is starting to build with his blocks and not just knock them down. He asks to get in his crib and play when he really wants his paci. He got his first pair of big boy sneakers that even light up. He is constantly on the go and is getting faster and faster. I tell him that he can never get away from Mommy, but I'm starting to wonder. :) He eats like a champ and is working with Ms. Devon to transition to one nap a day. This semester Grandad is going to pick him up from Ms. Devon's on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and he and Gigi are going to watch him until Christian or I get off. I'm taking 18hrs and working at Mark Twain Elementary for my practicum. I've only been to MTE twice to observe their SLP, but I really liked it. I'm excited to get started working with her and learning about therapy in the schools. I still miss Allen so much when I'm at school, but I know he is having a great time with his roomies and Ms. Devon. He is definitely looking and acting more like a little boy than a baby, and Christian and I are loving every moment! We love to read, sing, dance, eat, play ball, build blocks, and play with toys together. 15 months of JOY!

Proud!
I'm always proud to be Allen's mom, but today had some extra chest-swelling moments.
1. Allen used the signs for more, please, thank you, and all-done during lunch today - smart and polite! (He's been using alot more signs this week - monkey, elephant, gorilla are some new ones.)
2. He practice getting in and out of the wagon over and over again until he mastered it - determination!
3. Allen sometimes offers me some of his food, but tonight, for the first time, he offered some of his bottle. He went on to gulp it down, so I know he wasn't trying to pass it off. He was really going to share with me - so sweet!
4. He pee-peed in the potty!! Now, did I give him a full bottle then sit him on the potty, yes. Was it, perhaps, good timing on my part, yes. But, still!
I'm so enjoying this time off with him and am sad to think about our new schedule come Monday. God even gave us extra beautiful weather to play outside this week. Feeling very blessed, as always.

Allen's 1st Vacation
Some of the Taylor family who we got to enjoy for a couple of days

For some reason, Allen liked to stand in the corner of the cabin.
Allen loves Kayla!
Allen loves Alyssa!
Alligator Farm
Allen liked the ducks the best
The day after Christmas we headed to Hot Spring, Arkansas to enjoy a few days with some Taylor family. Allen did better than expected in the car and loved sharing a cabin with Alyssa, Kayla, Aunt Diana, and A&U Jill & Rob. We mostly stayed at the cabin, visited with family, and hung out by the campfire. We did go into town to the Alligator Farm and to eat dinner with everyone. We had a great time! I didn't do very well at taking pictures, but here are some to mark are first road trip and nights away from home (we even stopped at McDonalds to snack and play!)
